Arfodir

Welsh - arfor (“coastal”) +‎ tir (“land”).

The collective trauma the world is experiencing has sent people in many different directions. For some, internal storms have raged within, pushing them to seek escape—toward places where the noise softens and fresh perspectives can breathe. But like the ocean, strong currents rise, leaving no choice as the waves crash relentlessly against the shore.

For me, as the pandemic tightened its grip and the noise grew unbearable, I laced up my shoes and walked toward the cleansing sea air.

Arfordir is a psychogeographic journey along the South Wales coastline—a visceral exploration of my own psychological state, the people I meet along the way, and the ever-shifting landscape. It offers a window into how we navigate this changed world, revealing new ways of seeing, being, and belonging.
